Humidity!

I can NOT stand humidity. Well thanks to Wikipedia, and we all know if Wikipedia says so it MUST be true, I have learned that Olympia shares the honor of being the most humid city in the US! Shared with Forks. Greg has always given me a bad time about complaining about the humidity and now if feel justified. In his words "I give you my blessing to be so hot"

Most humid places on Earth

blah blah blah...not pertaining to the point so it's been deleted.....

In the United States the most humid cities, strictly in terms of relative humidity, are Forks and Olympia, Washington.[3] This fact may come as a surprise to many, as the climate in this region rarely exhibits the discomfort usually associated with high humidity. Dew points are typically much lower on the West Coast than on the East. Because high dew points play a more significant role than relative humidity in the discomfort created during humid days, the air in these western cities usually does not feel "humid."

Blah Blah Blah...more stuff that's been deleted that doesn't have anything to do with what my point was...

So this is me stickin it to the MAN! I'm not sure what man except that it sounded good. I also found this website that has all kinds of cool weather facts that list us as the #2 most humid city. So there you have it! I'm not making it up! I have proof! It's humid and I can't stand it!
Feel free to laugh! I know Greg will when he reads it!

Happy Birthday Little Bear

1 yr ago today, our little Gary was welcomed into our family! He is full of life and wants to experience everything he can! He laughs all the time! Even when he doesn't know what he's laughing at! Don't get me wrong, he can get mad. And when he does...Watch out! It's every man for himself!! But he's very easy to console. the only thing it takes is to pick him up! He is so funny and loves to play with is brother! He started walking about a week or 2 ago and he is loving every minute of it! He loves being able to keep up with Isaac, and being almost the same size he's figuring out that he's almost as strong and is starting to defend himself, which is pretty funny. Gary is our little bear! He loves to make all the growling and car noises that Isaac makes. He watches everything so closely so that when it's his turn he's sure to wow the crowd! We love him to death and couldn't have asked for a better addition to our family!!
Happy Birthday Gary Bear!

What do YOU use?

I am wishing! I want a NICE camera. At our recent reunion in Ut. I was able to use our cousin Mark's Nikon D90. Ever since then I have been longing for a super nice camera (among other things).
Greg is so good to me. Everytime I want something new he just smiles (a smile only greg can give. you know the one, every husband has their version. The one that says, smile on the face but in their eyes you can see the $$$ and the thought "how much is this going to cost me?") and says, how about you look into it and then we'll see. I look into it and the chances of me getting it are 50/50! He's so paitent!
Anyways! I want to know...what kind of camera do you use to get your killer great pics!!

What makes me happy?

Someone asked me this question once in my life and it struck me hard today!
It has been a rough week. We (Gary, Isaac, and I) just spent a week at my moms, on vacation. With out a whole lot to worry about and it being so warm, we spent everyday outside next to the pool (don't get to excited, it was one of those 2 ft kiddie pools. But a pool nonetheless) we played outside, in the water, in 95 degree weather. So being back home, where it's cold, and there's dishes, and laundry, it's hard to get back into the swing of things. I have been feeling very lazy, unmotivated, and annoyed. These 3 things all add up to one unhappy momma and we all know that "When Momma aint happy...(say it with me now) Aint NOBODY Happy!!!
So this morning as i was tearing up because i have 3 loads of dishes and about a bazillion loads of laundry to do, its cloudy, cold and depressing outside and I'm really REALLY sick of being in the dark when it comes to building the house (That's right...we STILL don't know anything of when we are starting that...more for another day). This particular question popped in my head. and after all day of thinking about it and finding all the small things today that have made me happy here it goes:

What makes Sonya happy?

*The way a bottle looks after it's been washed
*The way the carpet feels after it's been vacuumed (especially if Greg did it for me)
*The way Frito's taste with Taco Soup
*Ellen's Humor
*The sound of laughter
*Isaac's apology
*Silence of Nap Time
*Chocolate Milk
*Brownies
*The smell of freshly bleached Towels
*Hot showers
*The sound of the keys on the keyboard as I type
*Gary's laughter when he's not sure what he's laughing at
*Toasted English Muffins with strawberry Jam
*The smell and color of Lemons
*Milk Chocolate chips and Craisins
*Taking a Graham Cracker and dipping it in Betty Crocker Milk Chocolate Frosting and topping it with marshmallows
*Falling asleep with the tv on
*Movies
*A good tan...The kind that says, Yah...I spent the entire summer doing nothing but playing outside! Whatcha gonna do about it?!
*Traveling
*The thought of owning a good pair of patent peeptoe pumps...RED!
*The thought of Going out, on a Wednesday night, and turning every head because I look just that HOT!!!
*Going to a salon and getting my hair cut

That's all I've come up with today.
When your having a crappy day, this is what I want you to do.
When your brain is becoming filled with "woe is me" and "Seriously?! This kind of day again?!" Kick it out of your head and ask your self. "What makes me happy?"

Still Alive...Barely

It has been a CRAZY couple of weeks!! Lots to report!
We went down to Utah for a family reunion the end of June and had so much fun! It was a great way to kick of the summer! Greg and I got to go to the Salt Lake temple on Wednesday the 24th and that was amazing! We got to drive down to Provo on Thursday to see a friend I hadn't seen in...well since junior year in high school and that was so much fun! I was lucky enough to take some pics on one of the cousins camera, a Nikon D90, It was so much fun and I am now hooked! It is now #2 on my wish list! I got some awesome shots during the water games! After an incredible reunion and 1 good sunburn later we started home Saturday. We got to my moms and Greg took the train on home Sunday morning from there and I stayed at my moms till Thrusday. That was a much needed vacation! We played outside in the water all day, every day. Made strawberry jam, Raspberry and O'lala Berry Jelly, Grilled everything under the sun and Kelly's bday was on the 1st so Mom and I threw her a surprise party! I asked her to babysit the boys while mom and I went to the temple, and instead of going to the temple we went shopping and got the house decorated for her birthday! She was shocked and it was awesome!! After a week of 95 degree weather it was hard to come home but it was time. Thursday morning I stepped on a bee and Thursday night I came home. Friday we went to Greg's parents and played outside in their pool, wished Makayla a Happy 5th Birthday and then went to our annual July 3rd Rainiers baseball game. On the 4th I woke up singing Happy birthday to my Grampa Aldrich in between running to the bathroom (needless to say after making Greg run to the store for an EPT and ruling out pregnancy as the reason for the bathroom runs every 20 mins for 3 hrs I came to the conclusion that the hot dog the night before did not agree with me and decided it required an encore.) ANYWAYS!!! My grandpa always said "you never know when you're gonna die so you should always have your dessert first!" so today, because I couldn't do it yesterday, I'm paying tribute to my dear Grandpa and having my dessert first!! The rest of our 4th was fun. I took it easy mostly keeping my foot up (as it is still swollen and hurting, Yes dad I'm calling the Dr. tomorrow) and staying out of the sun and chain drinking water. Greg got some fireworks and the kids loved them! Greg helped Isaac with a sparkler (his first) and then put on a pretty good show! We got home around 11 and the boys went right to bed! Today (Sunday the 5th) I am staying home with Isaac because he has a pretty bad cold and a sunburn that needs nursing. this week will be an slow one. We have a house meeting on Tuesday night where we will find out our official start date for building and learn about insurance...j.o.y...but other then that, nadda, well, except for that Dr. appointment about that darn bee sting that has taken over!! I plan on staying inside, re-hydrating and getting the house back in order after our 2-3 week vacation!!! Great kick off to the summer!!
