Easter, Sun, LotsOpics

Easter was a long event this year.
It started with Daddy taking the boys to his company Easter Party

Saturday we went to Grama and Grampas house to paint eggs, hunt for eggs, and eat an amazing lunch

The boys also picked me a flower! Awwww

When we got home it was still super sunny and there were things to get done so the boys played outside on their new Play set while Daddy did some yard work.

Bear loves to Hang

And practice his mad soccer skills

Bubba loves the telescope

and slide

Sunday morning we found the Easter bunny had delivered eggs to our front porch
-one of the benefits of living in a neighborhood like ours is that you can trust your neighbors so that when they do nice things like this, you don't have to worry to much about where they came from-

We then had our own little egg hunt in the rain in our backyard

The boys enjoying their treasures

After church I taught the boys about Jesus dying on the cross and being resurrected.

I love using the eggs as a teaching tool. It is a really cool lesson to teach younger kids the true meaning of Easter. Bubba is 4 yrs old and by the end of the story he can tell it back to you!
It is very moving to hear him tell you about how they sold Jesus and then made him wear a "crown of poky things" and then made him carry the cross and then "Bang bang bang nails in his hands a feet with a hammer" and then wrap him in cloth and put him in the tomb. and how after 3 days "Mary came and cried saying 'where's Jesus' and He came to her and said 'Don't cry Mary, I'm Ok' and that's called Resurrection!"

I am so grateful for my Savior and the sacrifice he made by dying for our sins so that we can live with our Father in Heaven again. I am Grateful for my boys and the special spirit they bring into our home. They make me want to be a better person. I am grateful for the love and quick forgiveness they have.
This time of year always makes me look at my life and remind myself of all my blessings and how lucky I really am, and wonderful life really is!

With that being said, I would like to wish you all a Happy Easter and a Very Happy Spring!

Lovin my Munchkins

Bedtime usually plays out like this at our house;
Brush teeth, wash hands. Get jammies on, in bed. Bear gets prayer and song and then It's Bubba's turn. Bear goes first because Bubba will lay in bed quietly while I tuck in Bear....where it doesn't work the other way around. Anywho...I usually help Bear with his prayer but tonight I wanted to see what he had flying solo. So I told him he could do it, and he did!
Both prayers melted my heart tonight. Bubba had me in tears! I LOVE my kiddos and I Love my hubby for working so hard so that I can stay home with them and have these special moments!!

Bear (3 in July) -
"Dear Henly Pahder. Tank you this day. Tank you por Daddy. Tank you por pillow. Tank you por curtain. Tank you por ploor. Tank you por this thing, and it blows air, that's hot. And then there were MONSTERS and I was Scared! Tank you por mommy and tank you por babies. Tank you por beds. Name of Jesus Christ, Amen."

Bubba (4) -
"Dear Heavenly Father. Thank you for this day. Thank you we could have a good day. Thank you for baby. Bless it to be healthy and Mommy too. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen"

Hair like Daddy's

Today was Haircut day!
I'm not usually a fan of shaving the boys head but today they both requested "short hair like daddy"
So here it is;

Bubba before:

Bubba After

Bear Before:

Bear After

I must admit. I think Bear rocks the short hair better, but that also could be because his will spike, Bubba's will not. Bear has always had shorter hair where Bubba has always liked his a bit longer. At least it's starting to warm up so hopefully the Short "daddy hair" will be a blessing!

2.5

NEVER Underestimate the power, or determination of a 2 1/2 yr old.

Sometimes I forget that this little guy isn't 3 yet (he'll be 3 in July).
And then he does stuff like scale the computer desk just so that he can paint his own nails.
And then I remember....oh yah....he's 2!

On a side note. Daddy got a new lawn mower, mowed the lawn, and now our yard looks AMAZING!!!
I'm Lovin Spring!

When you're sick

Life doesn't stop
Kids don't care
Laundry doesn't care
Dishes don't care
Germs get excited
Your house smells weird
Your house feels weird
Everything is uncomfortable
You spend your whole day coughing up your toenails

However.
If you live where we do; Life doesn't have to be so horrible.
If you live where we do; you would have neighbors that will take your kids so that you can sleep all day
If you live where we do; you would have neighbors that bring you dinner and get you Gatorade from the store.
If you live where we do; you might have members of your church who will call to see how your doing, and then also bring you dinner.
If you life in Pleasantville, like we do, Being sick doesn't have to be so bad!
